Had a bike fit with Jake to help with some back and knee issues I was having and went there for an objective view (bad experience of bike shop bike fits using as a sales opportunity). Jake was very knowledgeable and did a detailed assessment focusing on both on and off bike including pre ride warm ups and strengthening exercises. He didnt even seem to mind our session overrunning to make sure we got a good outcome! Would thoroughly recommend!

After suffering knee pain from a few longer rides on a new bike, I went to see Jake for a bike fit session. He took the time to do a thorough physio assessment first and then got me set up on the bike. Jake was thoroughly helpful adjusting my bike and cleats, and also made recommendations about cadence and post ride management. I managed 100 miles a few days later pain-free both during and after the ride. If you are a runner or cyclist and you're considering a bike fit session or physo, I'd highly recommend Jake for a holistic assessment and treatment plan.

I wanted a bike fit that would assess the cause of some back and foot pain that I had been getting on my road bike for years and would also look at my riding position to improve efficiency. I chose Jake due to the combination of his experience as a physio and his passion for cycling and I was very impressed with the service I received. Jake assessed the areas where I’d been getting pain and gave me a number of warm up exercises and stretches to help strengthen and prepare for a ride. He then analysed my riding position and made a number of tweaks which have so far proven to improve my ride comfort. A nice touch is that Jake is happy to be contacted after the fit to discuss progress; I have not yet had to do this, as presently the changes made have led to the improvement I was seeking. I would certainly use Jake again and recommend him to my friends.

Great for bike fits and physio appointments. I have particularly appreciated the exercise demonstration videos Jake sends over to make sure the exercises are correctly replicated at home and the email advice following on from my bike fit​​

I woke up with intense pain and immobilised shoulder one day, and saw Jake the same day. He diagnosed frozen shoulder and was able to give me broom handle exercises that immediately began to ease it. I did those for a week and then he gave me stress band exercises. The problem resolved quickly, and every time I get a twinge I can go back immediately to the exercise and stave it off. Much better outcome than my friends who have frozen shoulder and have waited a long time to see a physio. Thank you Jake for timely and complete remedy.

I met Jake for the first time not long after Christmas having not cycled since last August due to back problems. I’m a below amputee, so have a fair amount going on in my body. I had happily enjoyed many many miles and a good couple of years of cycling that rapidly decreased last summer from 165km cycles to zero! I have seen Jake twice, had my road bike set up with a couple new products and some daily exercises. I am happily back on my bike and covering 100km plus weekly and more recently a couple hundred km. Jake offers up follow up advice and I will certainly be back to see him in the not to distant future.
